JoAnn M. Perez,
Founder & Estate Planning Attorney
JoAnn M. Perez has been serving Huntsville, Alabama as a licensed attorney for over 22 years. A graduate of Wayne State University, JoAnn obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing before attending Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan, where she obtained her Juris Doctor (JD) Degree in 1999. In law school, JoAnn won the Bronze Key Academic Award in 1996 and was a member of Moot Court.
JoAnn is currently licensed to practice law in Alabama. She is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, the Real Estate and Probate Section of the American Bar Association, the Taxation Section of the American Bar Association and the Business Section of the American Bar Association. Her primary areas of practice include estate planning, estate administration, wills, trusts, probate law including conservatorships and guardianships, and business law including corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
Emily J. Young,
Estate Planning Attorney
Emily J. Young brings nearly a decade of expertise and leadership in Elder Law and Estate Planning to Perez Law.

Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, Young is an alumnus of Grissom High School and Auburn University. After graduating cum laude from the Birmingham School of Law, she graduated with her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Estate Planning and Elder Law from Western New England University.
Young is a councilwoman for the Elder Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, a member of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and an Elder Law professor at the Birmingham School of Law.
Beth Brooks,
Office Manager
Beth joined the Women’s Economic Development Council Foundation Board of Directors in 2013 and served in continuously more responsible volunteer leadership roles through Board President and was ultimately hired as the Executive Director in January 2016 and served until 2020. An active member of the Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville, Beth is passionate about the Huntsville community and the many ways its citizens serve each other.
